A Rustic + Romantic San Diego Engagement

Meet Samantha and Sean. This adorable couple has been together four years and are totally excited to the the knot next May. Sean proposed on a romantic getaway to Hawaii, and she was totally surprised! I hope you enjoy this romantic California countryside engagement story!

Samantha trains elephants at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park and Sean is an extremely passionate about his work recording music. They met at a mutual friend’s birthday party and totally hit it off! Having lots of the same friends from the get-go was a definite bonus!

We decided to have their engagement photo session in Pine Valley, CA. Their venue is also in Pine Valley and we wanted to explore the area and enjoy the beautiful scenery before the big day. We started at the gorgeous private estate they rented for their wedding next spring and took advantage of the darling tree house in the back yard. Samantha made a darling rustic-inspired pennant banner. They also brought along a gorgeous quilt made by Samantha’s mom.

Deciding on the perfect date for you can be a daunting task. This couple decided on a really fun wedding date- it’s an anagram (you know..the same both forwards and backwards).

These two lovebirds were so much fun to photograph. I love how happy and at home they seemed together. I am so honored to be photographing these two at their 2015 wedding!
