San Diego Wedding Venues We Love: Vista Valley Country Club

I wanted to take just a moment to spotlight a San Diego wedding venue that I absolutely love to photograph. Vista Valley Country Club is one of my favorites in San Diego. The overall experience, unique decor and upscale wedding day options they offer truly set this venue apart from the rest.

As you pull into the parking lot at Vista Valley Country Club, the majestic quality of building’s beautiful stone architecture really makes it feel like you have just been magically transported to a fairy tale castle. The bride & groom begin their day getting ready in separate suites- the bride in the bridal suite and the groom in the library, both perfect spaces. I love when a venue provides a place to hang the wedding dress while you get ready, and at Vista Valley Country Club, they give you an ornate hook hanging from the ceiling- and it’s perfect.

Eighteenth century ornate French Provençal gates mark the entryway to the garden ceremony space. The shade timbers that line the garden date back to the 1730’s, and have connections to George Washington. It truly is the perfect place for an outdoor wedding in San Diego. This past summer, I photographed Kristi & Mike's lovebird-inspired garden wedding at Vista Valley Country Club, and I love how they framed the wooden altar with romantic blush and white blooms- so perfect.

Historic decor fills this venue. You can even use their antique bench to complete your elegant sweetheart table- huge bonus. It’s an antique-lover’s dream come true. If you are looking for the perfect rustic-chic venue for your romantic wedding style, this venue fits the bill. There are so many amazing places to take photos, and they have golf carts at the ready to make sure you can get around quickly- this is HUGE when trying to fit a variety of background and locations into the hectic schedule of the wedding day. It really allows you to move quickly and get lots of great shots, simply because you don’t have to walk everywhere!

Vista Valley Country Club is truly on of the best wedding venues in San Diego- it has such a unique vibe and so many great options to make the entire wedding experience memorable, not just for the bride and groom, but for their guests too.
