Engagement Session Tips for Introverts
For introverted couples, engagement sessions can be a bit overwhelming. The thought of being in front of a camera and posing in public places can be stressful, but engagement sessions can still be a fun and intimate experience. Here are some engagement session ideas for introverted couples.
Cox Arboretum Engagement Photos in the Fall
If you are planning ahead for your fall engagement session, this post is for you. Here are a few quick tips to help you get the most out of your autumn engagement photo session.
Engagement Photos at Cox Arboretum
This past weekend was full of engagement sessions for me, and I am so excited to share a few of my favorite moments. These engagement photos were taken in Dayton, Ohio at Cox Arboretum Metropark, one of the best locations to take photos. It’s super easy to get a huge variety of looks at this one little park. There are so many great spots for taking photos.
Engagement Photos at the Honey Farm
I am so excited to share a recent engagement session I photographed at The Honey Farm in Dayton, Ohio. Kenzi & Brandon will be getting married there in 2022 and so they had the unique opportunity to take their engagement photos at their wedding venue. If you have the opportunity to do that, it’s a really great chance to walk around with the photographer ahead of the big day and take some photos. It gives you a great idea of how things will look on your wedding day, and you can figure out what you love most before the actual wedding rolls around.
Sunset Engagement Photos at Ault Park
If you don’t already know, Ault Park is easily one of the absolute best locations for engagement sessions in Cincinnati. It’s such a large park with lots of different spots to take great photos. This recent spring engagement session was so much fun. K & C brought their dog along for just a few minutes at the very beginning of their session; and then a friend picked him up to take him home so they could also get some photos without their pup. I
Cincinnati Engagement Session at French Park & Smale Park
This spring engagement session is what dreams are made of. We began our time together at French Park in Cincinnati. K + J brought their dog, Geneva, along to be a part of the beginning of their engagement session. Towards the end of our time at French Park, a friend came by to pick their pup up so they could spend some time getting images of just the two of them.
Engagement Session at the Dayton Art Institute
Spring engagement sessions officially have me swooning. This recent engagement session at the Dayton Art Institute was so much fun. Lauren and Randy have such a natural and fun connection- photographing them was literally such a joy for me. One of my favorite things about my job is seeing how a couple connects and capturing that unique dynamic in photographs so they can hold onto those moments forever.
Engagement Photos at Ault Park in Winter
Winter engagement sessions are always favorites of mine. The weather, although unpredictable, can be really beautiful in Ohio. Sometimes it’s snowy, and other times- like in the case of this engagement session at Ault Park, it is foggy. Ault Park is great all year round, and winter there is no exception. There are actually great spots for photos that you can only use during winter because their tent is taken down for the year and the main structure is totally exposed.
Winter Engagement Session in Downtown Dayton
I am over here absolutely obsessing over this adorable engagement session in downtown Dayton. Winter engagement sessions are sometimes cold and dreary, but this one was anything but that. We began our session at Dayton Beer Company, who was kind enough to allow us to take a few photos while N & K enjoyed a couple of beers inside their bar area. The large windows let in lots of light, and they brew beer right there in the middle of the room- it looks really cool.
