Yesterday’s wedding at The Estate at Sunset Farm in Dayton, Ohio was so beautiful. It was a warm, late summer day- the perfect type of a day for a wedding. Lane & Jake chose to have an outdoor ceremony at the edge of the woods. Having some shade during your summer wedding is key to keeping everyone comfortable- and for getting great photos. This past weekend was amazing. I photographed three back to back weddings, and it all kicked off for me with celebrating Polly & Tyler’s Columbus wedding at Strongwater Food & Spirits. Even though the forecast warned that we would experience some really nasty weather, the rain held off pretty much the entire day, and we were able to do photos with the bridal party in all the fun spots they had picked out. Wedding photos in downtown Columbus are probably my favorite thing ever. I love Columbus- it’s so nice downtown and there are tons of great spots to take photos.

Every wedding day is different, but at this Dayton wedding, something happened that I have never seen before. I have been photographing weddings for quite a while, but this was definitely a first. Here’s the scoop. Nichole & Kyle got married on the same day as Nichole’s grandparents. They wanted to celebrate that they share the same special wedding anniversary day, so they surprised her grandparents with a cake of their own during the reception. It was such a sweet moment.
