As the vibrant colors of spring begin to bloom across Nashville, there's no better time to visit Cheekwood Gardens. Nestled amidst 55 acres of lush landscapes, Cheekwood offers a picturesque escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Recently, I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon exploring the gardens, immersing myself in the seasonal beauty of tulips, admiring the stunning mansion, and indulging in the captivating Degas Exhibit.

My journey began with a leisurely stroll through the gardens, where I was greeted by a sea of tulips in full bloom. The vibrant hues of red, yellow, and pink painted a stunning backdrop against the verdant greenery, creating a scene straight out of a fairytale. As I meandered through the winding paths, I couldn't help but pause to admire the intricate details of each flower and breathe in the fragrant aroma of spring.

Next, I made my way to the historic Cheekwood Mansion, a true gem of Nashville's cultural heritage. Stepping inside, I was transported to a world of elegance and sophistication, where the temporary Degas Exhibit awaited. The exhibit showcased a breathtaking collection of Edgar Degas' masterpieces, offering a glimpse into the renowned artist's life and work. From his iconic ballet dancers to serene landscapes, each painting exuded a sense of timeless beauty and grace.

After soaking in the artistic wonders of the mansion, I ventured back outdoors to explore the sculptures scattered throughout the surrounding gardens. From whimsical sculptures nestled among the foliage to striking installations adorning the open spaces, each piece added a touch of artistry to the natural landscape. It was a delight to wander amidst these captivating creations, appreciating the harmonious blend of art and nature.

As I concluded my visit to Cheekwood Gardens, I couldn't help but envision the venue's potential as a dreamy setting for weddings and engagement sessions in Nashville. With its enchanting gardens, elegant mansion, and captivating artworks, Cheekwood offers a wealth of stunning backdrops for capturing love stories against the backdrop of spring's beauty. However, it's important to note that a permit is required to have engagement photos taken on the premises.

Cheekwood Gardens is truly a favorite place for me in Nashville, offering a sanctuary of natural beauty and artistic inspiration. Whether you're seeking a romantic setting for your wedding or a charming backdrop for your engagement photos, Cheekwood promises an unforgettable experience amidst the splendor of spring.
