A Rustic Backyard Wedding: San Marcos, California
Saturday afternoon, Brittany and Nick tied the knot at their rustic backyard wedding in San Marcos, CA.
The girls got ready in the master bedroom and bathroom. Be Loved Hair & Makeup did a flawless job dolling the girls up! Their hair and makeup looked fabulous.
Brittany's cousin and sister offered their support as her bridesmaids. Their dresses complemented each other perfectly for the event. I love that all the girls wore pearls, and as Brittany got ready, her cousin gave her a little something borrowed- a pearl barrette she had worn in her own wedding just a few months ago.
Brittany’s gorgeous dress came from David’s Bridal, and was personalized with an added custom sleeve made of beaded lace. We all agreed that this detail was perfect as Brittany put on the final touches, and prepared to see her groom for the first time.
While the bride was getting ready, my really awesome assistant was kind enough to grab some shots of the guys getting ready downstairs. He's also a very talented photographer.
We had just enough time in the moments before the ceremony for Brittany and Nick to take a moment together and see each other for the first time privately. Both bride and groom were filled with nervous excitement, and the comfort they found in each other during this moment was beautiful.
When Brittany began her walk down the aisle, she took everyone’s breath away. She was glowing with happiness as she made her way to her groom.
As the sun set over San Marcos, the couple vowed to love one another forever in front of an intimate gathering of family and friends.
This may quite possibly be the cutest little ring-bearer-flower-girl squad ever. Yes. They are holding hands and smiling at the camera. Precious!
Brittany’s mom not only opened up their beautiful home for their wedding, but she also did an amazing job putting together all of the floral arrangements. Everything came together to create a vibe that was both rustic and elegant.
Their backyard looked absolutely stunning, a sea of sophisticated white flowers with subtle sage green, gold and cream colored accents. Burlap-wrapped mints were set out for guests at each place setting that said ‘Mint to Be’- too cute!
All of their choices complemented the feel of the wedding. It was obvious how much love was put into every detail of this beautiful backyard wedding. With just a month to pull everything together, this was an impressive event to say the least.
This unconventional guestbook was a brilliant idea. Guests sign the bottles of wine, and every year on their anniversary, the couple has a bottle to enjoy that has been signed by their wedding guests. What a lovely way to remember exactly what you are celebrating as the years go by.
The food at this wedding was beyond gorgeous. Nick’s mother works in the culinary industry and helped provide the food. The staff did a phenomenal job throughout the night.
These precious bite-sized desserts were an absolute hit with all the guests! Mini pies and Red Velvet Oreos...oh yes!
The love and support this couple has from their family is inspiring. A little bit rustic, VERY classy and altogether beautiful. Wishing Brittany and Nick the happiest ever after.
